Fairy Queen

The Fairy Queen comes from English Folklore and was believed to be Queen of the Fairies. She is often referred to as Titania or Mab. The Fairy Queen has been adapted to poetry and operas.

Edmund Spenser wrote an epic poem called "The Faerie Queene" in 1590 and Purcell wrote an opera called The Fairy-Queen.

Sometimes the Fairy Godmother in the famous fairytale of Cinderella, is referred to as the Fairy Queen.
